Some of our favorite spaces on Earth

With more than 3,800 places to pick from our vast network it’s always hard for us to hone in on some of our favorite spaces to visit. From relaxing getaways to action packed vacations, North America has so many places to go for whatever adventure you’re seeking. However, we took on the challenge from our friends behind the film The Space Between Us to highlight some gems we think you’ll love too.

New York City

Not only our top destination but also a city so full of life that the world knows it’s always moving and always full of energy. The Big Apple earns a spot on our list because it offers something for everyone. When you’re looking for a city escape, you can take a leisurely stroll down the aisles of the Strand Bookstore or along the High Line. If it’s your first time, there are countless tourist attractions for you to stop at (our must-sees are Lady Liberty and Ellis Island, the 9/11 Memorial and Central Park). Wherever your adventures take you in this iconic city be sure to enjoy the excitement around each corner. Other cities might be similar, but there’s only one NYC.

Banff, Alberta

When the mountains are calling, there is no better place to go than Banff, Alberta. Wondering why we say that? Check out the pictures that prove it! From the mirrored views of the mountains over the lakes or seeing the area from above in a gondola, you’ll walk away from this trip with some of the most stunning photos.

The Grand Canyon

If hiking and the great outdoors is for you but you’re not ready for Canada’s cooler weather, then you’ll love one of America’s great natural wonders. The Grand Canyon is 18 miles wide, 277 river miles long and its beauty is seemingly endless. It’s tough to capture the grandeur and beauty of this place in a photograph but when you’re looking for chance to unplug from reality for a moment, a hike along the rim or into the canyon may be just what you need.  Learn more about getting to the National Park here.

There’s so much more to Music City than good music (though we’d be kidding you if we said that didn’t add to why it’s one of our favorite spaces). When you want to hop the globe but simply don’t have the time, make your way to the Greek Parthenon which sits in the heart of Centennial Park and is a replica of the original in Athens, Greece. Just ask our friend Christian Leblanc, you can definitely take some sweet photos while you’re here. You’ll also want to tour President Andrew Jackson’s home, The Hermitage mansion when in Nashville. Once you’re done, make your way to the city’s Honky Tonk highway on Broadway to hear a local musician playing in hopes of making their big break. This is Nashville after all, you’ve got to listen to live music before you go!

Monterrey, Mexico

With direct service to Monterrey from Texas this city has quickly become a favorite of ours and our customers. As the third largest city in Mexico, it’s a hub for education, business and industry. While you’re here, be sure to explore one of the world’s largest squares at the Macroplaza and the modern art museum called The MARCO (Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Monterrey). When you want to get outside, the Grutas de García is an amazing natural wonder of caves and rock formations located in the middle of the desert only about 30 kilometers outside of the city.

There’s so much to love about Miami, making it a clear favorite space of ours. Even in the middle of winter you can still walk along the beach thanks to the city’s great weather (the water may be a bit chilly though). But what makes this city so special is how diverse the culture is. Just a few miles from downtown is an oasis of Cuban culture and heritage. While you’re in Little Havana, play dominos at Maximo Gomez Park or stroll down the Walkway of the Stars on Calle Ocho!

Mixing the best of old and new, a stop in Montreal will have you feeling as if you’ve just arrived in France. When we say Montreal is a city like no other, we mean it. Its French roots and infusion of art and music into daily life make this city so popular. Visit the Mile-End to meander around shops and to take in the old-world charm while still enjoying the new artsy vibe.

You might be wondering why should you travel to Cleveland? Well, there is more to it than meets the eye. If you are a music junkie, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is the place for you! Cleveland is considered one of the first places where rock and roll was born. Another reason why this city is one of our favorites is Cleveland’s food options. We recommend visiting the West Side Market that has been open since 1912 and is home to over 100 food vendors of all ethnic diversity.
