Fantastic Fourth’s around the USA
The Fourth of July is quickly approaching and we could not be more excited! With so many celebrations going on around the USA, it’s hard to pick just one spot to ring in America’s birthday. Lucky for you though we were able to narrow it down to five cities that have exciting July 4th celebrations going on all complete with fireworks, of course!
Start off your weekend with a true Atlanta classic, a hotdog from The Varsity. Known and loved for their messy, delicious chili dogs and sweet fried pies, The Varsity is where your taste buds will light up like fireworks. Speaking of fireworks, Centennial Olympic Park will host a big and bright fireworks display that is sure to make everyone ooh and awe!
Coney Island, Brooklyn, NY
This marks the 100th year of Nathan’s Famous hotdog eating contest that occurs every July 4 in Coney Island, so start your Fourth watching this delicious tradition. After they crown the winner of the competition, head over to Deno’s Wonder Wheel Park complete with multiple rides for all ages. Chow down on some of the park’s pizza or fuel your sweet tooth with funnel cakes and cotton candy. Don’t forget to watch fireworks light up the night at Macy’s 4th of July Firework Spectacular over the Hudson River.
Head to the Lone Star State and celebrate the Fourth in southern style. From a Kids Zone to a Bud Light® Bayou Beer Garden, there is something for everyone to enjoy at Freedom Over Texas, all while listening to live country music. They say “everything is bigger in Texas” and that is true when it comes to their fireworks show, and trust us, this is one fireworks display you do not want to miss.
Climbing walls, water slides, games and live music are some things that you will discover at Nashville’s Let Freedom Sing Fourth of July celebration. With Sheryl Crow being the headliner, Music City’s celebration is sure to be a hit for friends and families, and the night will end with dazzling fireworks. Let Freedom Sing is July 3 and 4. If you want to enjoy America’s Greatest Pastime, The San Diego Padres will be playing against the New York Yankees July 1-3 with special events happening after each game. On July 4 be sure to end your night at Big Bay Boom, San Diego’s largest fireworks display, to watch fireworks light up the bay and celebrate Independence Day!
