Book Travel

From 1914, when Greyhound founder Carl Eric Wickman started transporting miners between Alice and Hibbing, Minn., to now, where we serve more than 3,800 destinations, traveling by Greyhound has undergone massive change. Add in new technology and BOOM, travel is available at the click of a button. Fast forward to September 2012, and we’re launching our very own blog, The Hound. Who would have thought?

It’s actually pretty funny; no huge white board was injured in this experiment (which is what usually happens when our brain starts going 100 miles/hour). We just sat down one day and decided to buckle down on what a Greyhound blog would look like. Would it scream “I’m a bus company blog?” Or would it scream “I’m a blog about inspiring travel and providing the ultimate customer experience?” Needless to say, we choose the latter.

We want this blog to serve as a way for our fans to read about places to go, things to do and see, and where to stay. We’ll also have contests, a behind-the-scenes look at how we do things around here, and the latest news about the new and improved things we’re working on as a company. Then (OF COURSE), we want just as much input from YOU. This is OUR blog, not just Greyhound’s, but also yours, our valued riders.

As always, we want to remain transparent and count on you to provide us with your feedback on what we are doing well and what we can tighten up. At the end of the day, our service is your service and we want this blog to reflect that. With that being said, please remember to treat this blog with some TLC , anything deemed offensive, repetitive or injurious of the privacy of others will not be published.

The Hound is not a customer service forum, so as always, we want to make sure that you are connecting to the appropriate folks. For customer service questions, please contact our Customer Service department at 214-849-8966. If you’re looking to book your next trip, please visit or, or contact our fare and schedule hotline at 1-800-231-2222 (U.S.) or 1-800-661-8747 (Canada).

Now that we’ve gotten all of that out of the way’We welcome you to The Hound!
