Denver, Colorado – a dream destination for the outdoor lover in your group! From biking around downtown to taking in the in the breathtaking views, there are seven reasons we think the Mile High City should be next on your destination to-do list.

Denver B-cycle:

B-cycle is Denver’s bike-sharing system offering 87 bike stations and 700 bikes throughout the city and downtown neighborhoods. This is an affordable way to explore Denver, plus they’re a lot of fun. The B-cycles come equipped with lights for the evenings and baskets to hold your things. These bikes can be rented out anytime with a quick swipe of a credit card giving you hours of fun and transportation.

Coors Field – Colorado Rockies:

Like seeing the MLB players crush some home runs? This is the ballpark to visit! Being a “Mile High”, the altitude at this stadium affects the game of baseball, allowing the baseball to fly nine percent farther than it would at sea level. This elevation change makes Coors Field the most hitter-friendly ballpark in the MLB.

Denver Biscuit Company:  After you have worked up an appetite on the B-cycles, make sure you stop by the Denver Biscuit Company for a bite to eat. They serve many delicious and innovative recipes with their biscuits including biscuit French toast and biscuit cinnamon rolls, and they serve a great BISCUIT and gravy – with an egg on top.

United States Mint:  Gold was first discovered in Colorado in 1858, leading hundreds of merchants, miners and other settlers to move to the area as they tried to literally strike gold here. A year later, the city of Denver was officially founded and the U.S. government opened the Mint facility in 1863. The Mint has free tours if you make a reservation.

Red Rocks Amphitheatre:  The Red Rocks Amphitheatre is always a favorite place to visit near Denver. This theatre is a great venue for concerts and shows as well as some beautiful scenery of the red rocks that surround it. A short trip to this spot is definitely worth the 15-mile trip from downtown Denver. Go check out Red Rocks even if there isn’t a show going on it is always open for a great place to hike around and get some good mountain views.

16th Street Mall:  The city might be a mile high, but the mall is a mile long. The 16th Street Mall stretches one whole mile downtown on 16th street, with tons of retail stores and restaurants to choose from.

Denver Botanic Gardens:

Want a glimpse of what Colorado has to offer-nature wise without leaving downtown? Denver Botanic Gardens is perfect for the outdoor and nature lovers in your group.

Now it’s over to you – what are you favorite things about Denver?
