5Ks in a City near You

Ft. Worth Zoo Run

Whether you’re a runner or not, there are so many races that are coming up! We’re bringing you some of the races that we’ve heard about, are participating in or just think sound awesome (all of them do).

  • The Color Run
    • Known as the “Happiest 5K on the Planet,” this race started in 2012 to bring communities together in health and happiness. Can’t really beat that. Why is it called the Color Run? Well at every kilometer, you’re doused in color. Wear your white shirt and finish more colorful than ever! For a Color Run near you, check out the schedule here.
  • Foam Fest Run
    • So this race is an obstacle course, mud run and 5k all in one. Hello, this is our idea of fun! Get your friends together and participate in this down and dirty race. See when they’ll be in your city here.
  • The Original Mud Run
    • It’s all about the mud in this run, folks! So prepare to get muddy. It’s in three locations: Dallas, Nashville and Houston – so you may have to travel to be a part, but that’s just fine because Greyhound can get you there. See the dates here.
  • Warrior Dash
    • This is the world’s largest obstacle race series for a reason. We definitely say you should try it out. Earn your Warrior helmet by taking on 2-4 miles and 12 obstacle courses. We never said it would be easy, but a Warrior helmet makes it worth it. Find a race in a city near you here.
  • The Zombie Run
    • If you get a thrill out of being scared, well look no further than the Zombie Run. You start with a life belt, but you’re running through chemical spills, car crashes and the apocalypse, all while zombies are trying to take your lives. Key tip: don’t let them take any lives from your life belt! The list of locations can be found here.

So many fun-themed 5k races coming up, which one do you plan on participating in?
