Hound Gem: Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art

Let’s take a look at another Hound Gem — places that are so fascinating, yet we may not know about them just yet. We’re all about bringing cool finds to you. Once we see something we like, it’s only right that we share it!

Today’s Hound Gem comes from Nashville, Tenn. I was chatting with a friend about places to visit in Nashville and she instantly said “Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art.” She went on to rave about the “beautiful gardens” at this gem. Their website says to allot 2 hours to view the entire exhibit, which “sits on 55 acres and the Museum is 30,000 square feet.” So make sure you’re prepared with your walking shoes!

In addition, this gem is for everyone in the family. “My family goes the Saturday before Easter for egg hunts, food trucks, kids’ activities and more!” – my friend doesn’t get excited over too much, so the fact that the last statement has an exclamation mark definitely means that you should be putting this on your 2013 calendar. Enjoy!
